Title Research Land crews taking too much time on your title work in the courthouse gives your competition more time to move in on your valued prospect areas. Not to mention the lawsuits that arise from bad title work and taking leases on the wrong people. Our landmen are among the best in the business and our work ethic is second to none. With over 40 years of title experience, there's not much we haven't seen. We are actually amused with the typical landmen we see. We watch them come into the courthouse at 10am, break for lunch, and go home at 3pm. Most of them are only there 3 or 4 days a week and even then, it's a social event. Many of them are unable to understand the documents they are looking at and few can map anything. Half the time they don't even know if they're researching the right tract. Oil companies work so hard to keep their operations confidential only to have a landman give away valuable information asking someone else for help in the courthouse. If the title is wrong, the leasing is wrong, and the project is wrong. Then precious time and money must be wasted to fix what should have been done right in the first place. Most of our clients didn't know how bad the service they were getting was until they hired us. How will you ever know if you're getting the best service available unless you give someone else a try? Our landmen put in a full day's work everyday and we know what we are doing. We've been in the dungeons and trenches of some of the worst organized and least complete records systems in existence. If the title can be run, we can run it. The Next Generation In Landwork Copyright © Four-States Oil & Gas, Inc. January 2007 |
